Jacksonville – Local filmmaker Adam Madrid has made an impact on the Jacksonville film and television production scene. With ties to his and his wife’s local film festivals and his work with the city to promote film and television production, he wears the mantle of Loving our Locals on his film. And now, it’s his time to shine.
The film “Let Me Be Corey” is a romantic comedy with adult humor. They were inspired by past movies like Something About Mary, Kevin Smith and Judd Apatow films. Movies that pushed the limits with humor but had a lot of heart. The movie stars Eric Dooley and Kayla Sarian and is about a guy (Dooley) who seeks guidance but with his dad no longer in the picture, he relies on his mom, whom he lives with. Working for a food delivery service, he falls for a girl (Sarian) but what he finds out is she is just like him. They both have their setbacks, and both have issues but together, they work. We follow their journey with the great city of Jacksonville as the backdrop and a whole movie soundtrack by local musical artist Jeremy Ryan. The movie is heading to Hollywood next week at “American Film Market” to find distribution. www.argyleforestfilms.com
