The heat and humidity will stick around on Monday as tropical moisture moves in from the south. It will be hot and humid with temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Factoring in the humidity and temperatures in the 90s, it will feel like it’s around 100 to 105 degrees.

A disorganized area of low pressure is sitting in the Bay of Campeche — the southern pocket of the Gulf of Mexico, nestled between Mexico’s eastern coastline and the Yucatán Peninsula. This system is fueling a large cluster of heavy rain and thunderstorms, mainly in the southern and western Gulf.

Filtered sunshine will push through during the morning hours, sending temperatures climbing into the 90s by early afternoon.
