The St. Augustine Humane Society introduced Ramsey, a 5-month-old Pit Bull mix, who is eagerly awaiting adoption.
Ramsey’s story began on a somber note when he was abandoned in a dog crate in the backyard of an elderly individual’s home this past Christmas.
Fortunately, the senior citizen’s relatives, who are pet owners themselves, stepped in to rescue Ramsey and ensure he received the care he needed.
The St. Augustine Humane Society has since provided Ramsey with veterinary care, and he is now neutered, vaccinated, and ready to bring his abundant energy and love to a new family.
Described as full of life, Ramsey gets along well with kids and cats and is not reactive to other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a variety of households.
Ramsey will be one of the featured pets at the upcoming Flapjacks and Fashion event, a benefit for animals in need.
The event will take place from 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Applebee’s in St. Augustine.
Attendees will be treated to a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausages, eggs, and beverages, all prepared by Applebee’s and served by volunteers from the St. Augustine Humane Society.
In addition to the breakfast, guests will enjoy a runway-style fashion show organized by CottonWays, featuring ladies' fashion provided by CottonWays.
The entire community is invited to join in the festivities, which aim to raise funds for the St. Augustine Humane Society’s efforts to care for pets in need.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Humane Society, supporting their mission to provide care and find loving homes for pets like Ramsey.
This event offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a morning of good food and fashion, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of animals in need.
