Lucky Penny is looking for her furever home after the hurricane

During coverage of Hurricane Milton, River City Live hosts Rance Adams and Jana Angel had an unexpected encounter with Penny, a foster dog seeking a forever home.

As fate would have it, Penny found a temporary haven with a local family who passionately advocates for rescue animals and foster care.

The foster family spotted a News4Jax Instagram post about dogs like Penny and recognized their own fur foster.

Today, Penny’s story comes full circle, thanks to Aki and her daughter Olivia, who joined the show live in the studio to share their experience.

Currently, Penny is at the Jacksonville Humane Society, waiting for the chance to find her “furever” home.
