Temperatures to Soar Amid Continued Dry Weather

High pressure system extends dry spell

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The breeze will diminish tonight behind a dry front. Fog won’t be as widespread as the past few nights and it will be cool. Lows will be in the 40s and 50s.

An area of high pressure will remain overhead for most of the week with little to no rain in sight. In fact, this will only enhance our rainfall deficits across the area. Temperatures will soar into the low 80s later in the week with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s.

The latest drought report shows that a large portion of our area is in a moderate to severe drought. With little to no rain in the forecast through next week, this will likely expand.
