A brisk wind and record low temperatures will combine for wind chill temperatures in the teens to mid-20s for the start of Veteran’s Day.
The forecasted temperatures for Tuesday morning will be in the 20s to low 30s inland, mid to upper 30s along the beaches. The record for tomorrow is 35 degrees, set in 1977.
The chill will be brief with highs near 70 by midweek and climbing through the weekend. Before our seasonal temperatures return, we have to get through the Freeze Warning tonight and then the widespread Frost and a Light Freeze for Tuesday night and early Wednesday.
Wind Chill values will drop to upper teens to 25 degrees Tuesday morning. Cold Weather Advisories will be in effect for all locations except coastal Southeast Georgia.
A Freeze Warning will be in effect from 12 a.m. - 8 a.m. Tuesday. The Cold Weather Advisory, which is the new Wind Chill Advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m. - 8 a.m. A Freeze Watch will become a Freeze Warning for portions of our area along with widespread frost.

Clear skies with increasing northwest wind through the evening and overnight. The duration of the overnight cold temperatures could be long enough for exposed pipes in older homes to freeze. It’s early in the season, but we have to remember the People, pipes, pets, plants and pools.

Tuesday: Freeze warning, Cold Weather Advisory - 8 a.m. Clear and cold early with a biting wind from the northwest. The wind will taper off through the afternoon then become light overnight. Moring lows in the 20s and 30s. Feels Like temperatures in the upper teens to mid 20s. Afternoon highs under sunny skies in the 50s to low 60s. Clear skies with light wind overnight. Freezing temperatures and widespread frost are expected.
Wednesday: Freezing temperatures with Frost on Wednesday morning. The wind will swing to the southwest with highs I the upper 60s to low 70s.
