Warm Front Brings Storms and Heavy Rain Monday

Gusty winds may accompany Monday's storm activity

Widespread activity on Monday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Rain coverage will continue to increase this evening as a warm front lifts north across our area. The rain will be heavy at times and a strong storm will be possible. Localized flooding can be expected for those areas that see several rounds of activity.

Early week warm front.

The aforementioned front will lift across Northeast Florida tonight and will be situated across Southeast Georgia on Monday. This will allow rain and storm coverage to increase this evening through Monday. A few storms may become strong along and south of the front (Northeast Florida) with heavy rain and gusty winds. An inch or more of rain will be possible through Monday evening, especially for those locations that see several rounds of activity. Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 70s. Look for slightly cooler temperatures behind this system. Temperatures will drop into the low 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Late week cold front.

A secondary front will move across our area later this week, which will user in much cooler temperatures for Halloween! Highs will only be in the upper 60s to low 70s Thursday into the upcoming weekend. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s during this timeframe. Brrrr!
