Locally heavy rainfall possible overnight, Nor’easter impacts with Coastal Warnings

Coastal Flood Warnings with tides 1.5 to 3 feet above normal

Wind and rounds of rain will continue through the night. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible as well as downpours along our coastal zones.

Models have consistently shown the potential for locally heavy rainfall overnight, from Duval to Flagler counties. An additional 1 - 2 inches could be possible as showers and storms stream onshore with further accumulation through the day Friday.

Wind Advisories for the coastal counties will continue through early Sunday Morning. Sustained wind in the 20 mph range with gusts 30 to 40 mph.

A Gale Warning for Atlantic waters today through Saturday Night.

The highest Water Levels of the Fall Season are expected from Friday through the Weekend. A Coastal Flood Warning for Moderate Tidal flooding continues through Saturday night. The tides will crest 1.5 to 3 feet above normal levels.

Heavy downpours with isolated thunderstorms along the beaches and I-95. Localized flooding will be possible through Friday Night with some areas receiving 2-3 inches with higher amounts possible. The heaviest rain will be along our beaches to I-95 with lighter amounts west of the River.

The pattern continues Saturday then slowly improving through the day. Wind and rain will decrease through the day before clearing during the evening.

Cooler temperatures under sunny skies for Sunday with a fall chill in the air early Monday morning.

Friday: Windy with bands of rain. Coastal Flooding will be possible along our waterways during the high tide cycle. Morning lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs in the 70s to low 80s. Rain chances 50-70 percent. Wind: NE 15-25 mph, gusts to 35 mph, stronger gusts possible through Friday.

Tropics: Tropical Storm Jerry is expected to intensify into a hurricane. The storm will remain well offshore, but will send waves our way as it heads toward Bermuda.
