JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The full moon will rise officially during the daytime at 4:30 p.m. Friday. This will be the fourth and final supermoon of 2024.
November’s full moon joins another celestial treat: the lovely Pleiades star cluster, located just beside the moon in the Taurus constellation.
This dense cluster of stars, also known as the “Seven Sisters,” is one of the most popular sights of the night sky. Just note that the brightness of the full moon will make viewing most of the stars of this cluster difficult, according to Space.com.
When the moon is closest to Earth in its celestial orbit, that’s when it’s called a supermoon. Supermoons affect our tides, as well, known as King Tides. The first supermoon of the year was known as the Super Blue Moon, which is rare, and happened in August.

September is known as the Super Harvest Moon, and October is known as the Super Hunter’s Moon.
November is called the Super Beaver Moon because this is the time of year when the beavers start to make their lodges for the winter.
