Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings officially announces run for governor

The field of Democratic candidates is widening in the race to replace Republican Governor Ron DeSantis next year. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings filed to run and officially announced his candidacy this morning. In the primary, he will likely face former Republican Congressman David Jolly, who is running as a Democrat.
