5 Points businesses on high alert after string of recent break ins; JSO investigating

Several businesses in Jacksonville’s 5 Points neighborhood have fallen victim to a series of break-ins, with the latest target being a popular local coffee shop that sustained thousands in damage. BREW Five Points, a fixture in the community for 11 years, said the business was left with approximately $3,000 in property damage after burglars shattered windows and stole cash. Despite the damage, the coffee shop remained open for business, with staff quickly cleaning up the debris.
