We’re staying mostly cloudy and breezy today with a small chance for a few pop ups. We’re seeing pop ups move through parts of the area this morning.
Our highs are holding steady in the 80s. North winds will run around 15 to 17 mph, with gusts up to 25+ mph at times, especially along the coast.
The big weather story is at the beaches. A High Surf Advisory is in effect, and we also have a high rip current risk. That persistent north to northeast wind is building rough surf and dangerous water conditions, so swimming is strongly discouraged.
Even experienced swimmers can get pulled out quickly in this setup.
Friday stays breezy and mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s. Winds will still be out of the north around 15 to 17 mph with gusts near 25 mph, so coastal conditions may remain rough.
The weekend looks much nicer inland: sunny, cooler mornings, and highs near 81 Saturday, then mid 80s by Sunday.
Overnight lows drop into the low to mid 60s Friday and Saturday night before we start warming back up next week.
