There was no shortage of hugs, kisses, and happy tears at Naval Station Mayport this morning, as more than 300 sailors from the USS The Sullivans finally returned home after an eight-month deployment.

Hundreds of sailors are back at Naval Station Mayport with their families after USS The Sullivans most recent four-month deployment. Missions included seizing illegal weapons while visiting 21 different countries.

This will be the Naval ship's third deployment within a year.

The Arliegh Burk-class guided-missile destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) returned to Naval Station Mayport after a three-month deployment to the European theater of operations Monday morning.
