Since 2004, Jacksonville has always had only one cruise line sailing from JaxPort: Carnival. That changed Friday with the arrival of the Norwegian Gem cruise ship.

Norwegian Cruise Line plans to sail from Jacksonville beginning in November 2025 if the Jacksonville Port Authority board approves it during a special meeting on Tuesday at 3 p.m., News4JAX news partner Jacksonville Daily Record reported.
