If there were ever a list of fictional beach meetings that made significant cultural impacts, then this would likely be on it. On July 31, 1968 in the famous โPeanutsโ comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz, Charlie Brown and Franklin met on a beach.
โItโs the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brownโ no longer on TV for first time in half a century
The Peanuts animated classics, including โItโs the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,โ will no longer air on broadcast television. It was first broadcast on television back in 1966, but for the first time in more than 50 years, it has been pulled. Apple TV+ announced that it has secured the exclusive right for all things โPeanuts.โAs part of the new partnership, the classic Charlie Brown holiday specials wonโt air on ABC or any other network this year. โA Charlie Brown Christmasโ Thanksgiving and โItโs the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brownโ will stream for free for a couple days on the streaming platform. The Halloween special will from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1.
Farmer Breaks California Record After Growing 1-Ton Pumpkin
A farmer in California has broken the record for growing the states biggest pumpkinweighing in at 2,175 pounds. Leonardo Urena spent the summer tending to the massive gourd, on a 1200 square-foot- plot of land. The diligence Urena spent over the last two decades trying to grow such a pumpkin have finally paid off. Urena took the top prize at the Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off. Organizers said it set a record grown for pumpkins grown in the state.
