Duval County Public Schools celebrated a significant milestone on Monday after it was officially approved to be the first Blue Zones school district.

In the last three decades, the population of people living in their hundreds has nearly tripled. And experts expect that number to keep going up. So, what can you do to live to 100? More importantly, how can you live to be a healthy 100?

European Street Cafe, a local restaurant filled with history, is the first multi-location restaurant to partner with Blue Zones.

Meals on Wings, a meal program at the University of North Florida, collaborates with the Blue Zones Project to raise awareness about just how common it is to be food and nutrient insecure.

The Blue Zones challenge app is designed to help you live a better, healthier and happier life. It launches in Jacksonville Saturday, June 3 and Duval County residents get a subscription for free. It's the first offering of its kind in the country.
