bartaco is set to open a new location in Jacksonville, Florida, taking over the former Black Sheep restaurant space in the vibrant 5 points neighborhood. Known for its upscale street-style food inspired by the beach cultures of Brazil, Uruguay, and Southern California, bartaco offers a diverse menu featuring gourmet taco options, house-made guacamole and salsa, soups and salads, street corn, rice bowls, and desserts. With a focus on farm-to-table ingredients and a range of freshly-juiced cocktails, bartaco provides a unique dining experience. This new location will be the first in Northeast Florida, adding to the five existing bartaco locations in the state. Stay tuned for the official opening date announcement.

Residents and business owners in Riverside’s Five Points historic district are fed up with garbage on their streets and sidewalks. “We see every mix of every kind of person and I think that’s what makes Five Points so wonderful," Cindy Barfield, co-owner of 5 Points Vintage. On Monday, Jamee Yocum, the owner of Bark on Park, shared photos on Facebook that showed trash overflowing from garbage cans and trash in storm drains. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sun-Ray Cinema, an independent movie theater in Five Points, has announced plans to open a second location in Mandarin. The theater's official Facebook account broke the news on Saturday. The new theater, located in the former K-Mart on San Jose Blvd in Mandarin, will have 600 seats and five screens, the Jax Daily Record reports. The Sun-Ray Cinema at 5 Points opened in March 1927.
