Jaguars celebrate OT win: Fans buzzing over nail-biting finish in Las Vegas

Jaguars fans are buzzing after overtime win over Raiders (WJXT)

A nail-biter victory in Las Vegas left Jaguars fans buzzing Monday morning -- especially about kicker Cam Little’s NFL history-making field goal.

Little connected on a 68-yarder to end the first half, giving the Jaguars (5-3) some much-needed life in a defensive stalemate.

The kick edged out Justin Tucker’s 66-yarder from 2021 — and it helped spark Jacksonville’s 30–29 overtime victory over the Raiders.

“That was amazing. He did one in preseason, and that was amazing. He’s a great guy, and he has a powerful leg,” Jags fan Owen Smallwood said.

The NFL even updated its cover photo on social media platform X to show Cam Little with the caption: “even if you’re Little, dream big.”

The Jags needed this win after coming off the bye carrying a two-game losing streak.

After the game, coach Liam Coen mentioned that Trevor Lawrence wasn’t feeling his best and he was sick throughout the game.

“I was watching it in the car ride, and I told my mom, ‘Rush home. They are in overtime!’” said Jaguars fan Grayson Brown. “Trevor, even though he was feeling kind of sick still managed to pull off the win. The defense was pretty good. The Jags came together as a team.”

Despite a few setbacks, Lawerence was the one diving over the pile to get the score for the overtime victory.

“It’s a different feeling when they win than when they lose. Last year we weren’t as good, and this year we are pretty good,” Brown said.

And Jags fans tell us this victory gives them hope that the team still has some fight in them.

“I think it’s a victory they really needed. In order to try and contend to go to the playoffs,” Smallwood said. “As long as they continue to strive and hopefully Travis Hunter will be back. I think they have a great chance to at least contend.”
