JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High school football district races are taking shape with five teams wrapping up championships in Week 8 on Friday night.
Creekside rolled over Atlantic Coast 35-6 to win the District 1-7A title for the second consecutive season. The Knights (4-4) hadn’t won a district title before last season.
In 3-4A, St. Augustine stormed past host Clay 56-7 to wrap up a district title. The Yellow Jackets (7-0) will look to wrap up their first unbeaten regular season since 2023 inside the final month.
In 4-3A, Bishop Kenny crushed Menendez 42-0 to wrap up a district crown.
In 4-2A, Bolles walloped Jackson 48-0 to win its fifth district title in six seasons under head coach Matt Toblin.
Trinity Christian coasted past Episcopal 49-7 to win the District 2-1A title.
Other district title races will be decided two weeks from now.

3-6A: Gainesville Buchholz will clinch district title with win over Bartram Trail on Oct. 23. Bartram win over Buchholz AND Tocoi Creek win over Nease would give Bartram the district title. Bartram win over Buchholz AND Nease win over Tocoi Creek would force three-way tie and be decided by FHSAA points.
3-5A: Beachside leads but Ponte Vedra, Middleburg and Fleming Island are still in contention.
4-5A: Mainland will clinch district title with win over Belleview on Oct. 24. A Belleview win over Mainland would force a three-way tie and be decided by FHSAA points.
3-4A: St. Augustine.
4-4A: Riverside vs. Ed White on Oct. 24 will decide district title.
