Kids Can Play event raises funds for life limiting and life threatening conditions

The Furyk Foundation, in tandem with the PGA Wives Association and the PLAYERS Championship are putting on their annual “Kids Can Play” event, which was intended to give children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their siblings, opportunities to get close to famous golfers during one of The Players practice days. This is meant to be a day of carefree fun that’s safe and special for the patients and their families. Ahead of the event, Dillard’s at the St. Johns Town Center opened its doors for a private outfitting, dressing some of the patients and their families in spring’s hottest styles to show off next week. Pediatric patients are referred to the Community PedsCare program by medical professionals, social workers or clergy for palliative care if they have life-threatening conditions, or for hospice care if they have a life-expectancy of six months or less and have forgone aggressive medical treatment for their condition
