Man shot, stabbed during argument behind gas station on Kings Road: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is in serious but stable condition after he was shot and stabbed during an argument with a man and woman late Sunday night behind a Westside gas station, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Police were called to the Sunoco gas station on Kings Road, two blocks northwest of Myrtle Avenue North, just after 11 p.m. Sunday.

According to JSO, officers learned as they were headed to the scene that a man had shown up at a hospital, saying he’d been shot at the gas station.

More officers then went to the hospital, but they haven’t been able to speak with the victim yet because of his condition.

Investigators said they learned that the man, who is in his 30s, had driven to the gas station with his wife Sunday night. She went inside the store, while he walked behind the building and “interacted with” a man and woman.

At some point, they argued, and the man shot the husband in the torso at least once, and the woman stabbed him in the face once.

The man and woman ran off, and detectives are working to find surveillance video and witnesses to track them down.

Anyone who may know something about the incident is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number at 904-630-0500.
