JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville has seen a troubling series of shootings over the past three days, with incidents occurring at homes, on busy streets, and even outside a gas station.
The first shooting happened Friday night on Jasper Avenue, where a man in his 30s was found shot. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the victim and the suspect lived together and had an argument that escalated to gunfire. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The following day, another man was shot in the foot during a domestic dispute, also suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Later that day, officers responded to a shooting on Brentwood Avenue involving a man in his 30s. He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries. Several people were detained in connection with the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
That same evening, a police chase through Northwest Jacksonville ended in an officer-involved shooting. The incident began when officers tracked a stolen car using license plate cameras. During the pursuit, the suspects collided with a police cruiser and crashed into a commercial storefront before fleeing on foot.

An officer engaged with one of the suspects, who was reportedly reaching into his pants. The officer fired multiple shots, hitting the suspect, who was then taken to a local hospital.
When asked if the Brentwood Avenue shooting and the officer-involved shooting were connected, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officials said there is currently no indication that the two incidents are related.
The teen involved in the officer-involved shooting remains hospitalized and is recovering.
A local businesswoman near the Brentwood Avenue shooting shared her concerns about the violence affecting the community.
By Sunday, the violence continued with two more men shot but expected to survive. That night on Kings Road, a man was shot by another man and stabbed in the face by a woman during an argument behind a gas station.
Both suspects fled the scene, and police are actively searching for them.
And on Monday afternoon, JSO was at the scene of a shooting investigation in Northwest Jacksonville that involved someone being taken to the hospital due to life-threatening injuries.
