Man dies after being stabbed at Anheuser-Busch facility on city’s Northside, JSO says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man died Thursday afternoon after he was stabbed inside the Anheuser-Busch facility.

According to police, the incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Busch Drive, and when officers arrived at the scene, they found the man with a single stab wound to his chest.

After he was taken to the hospital by medical crews with the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, he later died at the hospital, JSO said.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing, but police said their detectives have learned that the incident appeared to stem from two contractors, a man in his 40s and a man in his 20s who aren’t associated with the business, getting into an argument that led to the man in his 20s getting stabbed.

Police said the investigation is in the preliminary stages, but multiple witnesses are cooperating and the suspect, who did not receive any injuries, has been detained.

According to JSO, surveillance video of the incident appears to be difficult to obtain due to union rules that prevent video recording of the production floor.

JSO also added that workplace violence like this is extremely rare.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500, or their tips can be submitted anonymously to First Coast Crimestoppers.
