JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is holding its Pet Adoption Festival at the Prime Osborn Convention Center this weekend.
The two-day event is one of the largest adoption events in Northeast Florida to find homes for hundreds of cats and dogs. Before adoptions are finalized, all pets will be spayed or neutered and vaccinated. All adoption fees will be waived but some exclusions may apply.

Brooke Williams with the Jacksonville Humane Society said adoption events like these are important to the community.
“We’re not only helping the pets get their new homes or helping people find their new companions and coming together and just seeing the light that everyone’s bringing...it’s so great to see families come together and we’re able to help clear these shelters and find animals their new second chance,” Williams said.
The adoption event continues on Sunday.
