JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation has announced several lane and ramp closures on Interstate 10 between I-295 and I-95 in Jacksonville as part of its ongoing widening project.
The closures will take place Sunday, Oct. 26, through Thursday, Oct. 30, primarily overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

On Sunday, Oct. 26, the Lane Avenue on-ramp to I-10 West will be closed. Southbound drivers on Lane Avenue will detour via Normandy Boulevard to I-295 North to access I-10. Northbound drivers will continue on Commonwealth Avenue and use I-295 South to reach I-10.
From Sunday, Oct. 26, through Thursday, Oct. 30, the Irene Street on-ramp to I-10 West will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to Edison Avenue and then right on Forest Street to access I-10 West.
Closures on Monday, Oct. 27, and Tuesday, Oct. 28, will affect the I-10 West and East off-ramps to McDuff Avenue. Westbound drivers will detour via Luna Street and Lenox Avenue, while eastbound drivers will take Stockton Street, Irene Street, Edison Avenue, and Forest Street to reach McDuff Avenue.
On Wednesday, Oct. 29, and Thursday, Oct. 30, the I-10 West off-ramp to U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) will be closed. Drivers will detour via McDuff Avenue.
Additionally, the Cassat Avenue on-ramp to I-10 East will be closed. Northbound drivers will use Highway Avenue, Luna Street, and Rayford Street to access I-10 East, while southbound drivers will follow Lenox Avenue and Rayford Street.
FDOT advises that schedules may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.
The $174.5 million widening project is being completed by Superior Construction and is expected to finish by fall 2026, barring weather or unforeseen delays.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time during these closures.
