A 50-year-old Lake City man claimed a $500,000 prize from a scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery announced Monday.
The man took home a one-time, lump-sum payment of $500,000 when he claimed his award on Sept. 17 in Tallahassee.

The winning $500,000 CASH BLOWOUT Scratch-Off ticket was purchased from Tower Road Supermarket at 7114 W. University Ave. in Gainesville.
The scratch-offs cost $50 each, and the overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.08.
