Man accused of murder in shooting at Southside seafood restaurant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a man accused in a Saturday night shooting at a Southside seafood restaurant.

Mark Gordon, 42, was arrested on Monday and charged with murder.

Officers responded to the shooting at a restaurant on Philips Highway near Baymeadows Road around 9:30 p.m.

At first, they were unable to locate the victim, but learned that 30-year-old Trevian Jackson arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. He died from his injuries.

JSO said Gordon shot Jackson at the restaurant.

JSO is still investigating. The Sheriff’s Office did not provide details on what led to the shooting or if the two men knew each other.
