JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – You might know that Klutho Park in Springfield has a baseball field, called Heritage Field, but did you know it also has a disc golf course?
News4JAX headed out to the green to learn more about the sport that’s rising in popularity, and the unique course at the park.
A Springfield resident worked with the nonprofit Sustainable Springfield to build the course, which is maintained now by SPAR, the River City Disc Golf Association and local residents. It is now a daily attraction for people living in Springfield and people who visit just to play the course.

Daniel Alexander, director of River City Disc Golf, explained that there aren’t many disc golf courses in the city, so the Klutho Park course offers a unique opportunity.
All the holes are par 3 and are about 300 feet.
You can watch our crew’s attempt to take on the course in the video above.
