Jax Parks summer camps offer technology, nature, sports options for families. Registration opens Tuesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Summer camp registration for Jax Parks opens at noon on Tuesday.

This year, there are three types of camps for your child to choose from, each available at several locations: technology camp, nature camp, and sports camp.

You can pick from three sessions:

• The first runs from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 27
• The second is from June 30 to July 11
• The third goes from July 14 to July 25

Each session costs $95, with camp hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There’s also an extended day option for an additional $20.

Additionally, the city is hiring seasonal summer camp counselors, part-time recreation activities coordinators, and lifeguards, with starting pay at $15 an hour for each position.

Students ages 13 to 17 can also earn volunteer hours as junior counselors through the city’s Teen Power Program.
