JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a man in Jacksonville’s Murray Hill neighborhood Tuesday morning.
According to JSO Sergeant Robby Henson, officers responded to Ernest Street near McDuff Avenue South at 6:30 a.m.

When police arrived, a man was found with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
It is currently unclear what led to the shooting or the people who were involved, leading JSO to classify the shooting as “pending.” However, JSO says a white truck or other vehicle seen leaving the scene may be potentially related to the shooting.
Despite no arrests or suspects being identified, JSO says this is an isolated incident.
