Hunting for shark teeth in Fernandina Beach

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – The beach near Fort Clinch State Park in Nassau County draws visitors for all kinds of reasons.

From scenic views to fishing to the chance to find artifacts with a metal detector, the beach offers something for everyone.

But the No. 1 draw: Hunting for shark teeth.

On a lucky day, you can find 10-15 teeth in a visit, but remember to dig or use a sifter near the shoreline, because shark teeth are generally buried.
