JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – You can expect partly cloudy skies to develop throughout the day and scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely. Highs in the mid-to-upper 80s across the region.
Winds and rain chances increase significantly on Monday into Monday night as TD 9 continues to track to the north before turning to the east on Monday night. Tropical storm-force winds aren’t likely, according to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, but will be monitored for any changes.
The biggest risks will be along the coastline and in the adjacent water.
High rip current risk begins 2 p.m Sunday through Tuesday due to swells from distant Hurricane Humberto and Tropical Depression 9.
