The storms that were along I-75 this evening are now areas of light rain and isolated storms. These continue to move east and will pass through potions of Duval, Clay and Putnam counties before winding down around 10 pm.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Humberto could become a major hurricane this weekend as Invest 94 develops over the Caribbean and the Bahamas. There is a high amount of model uncertainty for the path, intensity and impacts along the southeast coast.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop as a weak front moves in from the north and collides with the Gulf and Atlantic sea breezes. Locally heavy rainfall, gusty wind and lightning will be the main hazards.
Tonight: Showers and storms will end around 7 p.m. To 8 p.m. Partly cloudy skies with patchy to dense fog overnight.
Friday: Patchy to dense morning fog then becoming mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible as a weak front moves south, colliding with the sea breezes, 20-30 percent. Morning lows in the 60s to 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s to low 90s. Feels Like temperatures around 99 - 105 degrees. Patchy to dense fog overnight.
Looking ahead: Rain chances will continue on Saturday with partly cloudy skies and a few showers possible on Sunday.
