With maximum sustained winds at 60 mph, Tropical Storm Gabrielle continues along its northwest path at 13 mph, roughly 540 miles north-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands and over 615 miles southeast of Bermuda.

This slow-moving storm system is expected to make a turn to the north-northwest on Sunday, followed by a turn to the north and northeast Monday and Monday night.

Gabrielle is a little better organized and is expected to become a hurricane and pass east of Bermuda Sunday night and Monday.

There are no coastal warnings or watches in effect. Interests in Bermuda should monitor the anticipated path of Tropical Storm Gabrielle.

Swells are beginning to reach Bermuda and will build throughout the weekend. Swells could reach as far west as North Carolina, and up the coast northward towards Canada.
