Coastal Flood Advisories Extended Through Sunday Morning

Risk of rip currents remains high through weekend

Coastal Flood Advisories have been extended through Sunday at 5:00 a.m. Increasing onshore winds this weekend could bring further advisories next week.

Partly cloudy skies with slightly cooler temperatures are expected to continue this weekend. Fall-like temperatures in the morning, followed by near-seasonal afternoon highs as the onshore wind continues.

The increasing onshore winds this weekend will bring isolated showers and possible thunderstorms to our coastal zones as high tides continue to bring flooding along our waterways. The Rip Current risk will remain elevated through the weekend.

Tonight: Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with a chance of showers along our southern coastal zones. Wind: NE 5 - 15 mph.

Saturday - Sunday: Increasing wind from the northeast will continue through the weekend. Scattered showers and storms will be possible under the onshore flow. Saturday will see the strongest wind, NE 15-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Sunday the breeze continues, NE 10-20 mph with stronger gusts. Morning lows in the 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s. Rain chances will average 30 percent on Saturday, 40 percent on Sunday.
