Cooler Temperatures Arrive Amid Coastal Flooding Concerns

Feeling a little Fall-ish

MORNING LOWS (.)

Coastal Flood Advisories will continue through Thursday at 3:00 p.m. With increasing northeasterly winds this weekend, I think the Advisory could continue through Monday.

Rising River Levels (.)

While nuisance flooding continues, the sun made a comeback with slightly cooler temperatures on the way.

Early Fall temperatures are expected the next few mornings, followed by breezy afternoons and less than seasonal afternoon highs.

As the onshore winds continue, isolated showers will be possible along our coastal zones as high tide brings flooding and standing water.

Tonight: Not as breezy under mostly clear skies and cooler. Wind: NE 5 - 15 mph.

Thursday: A cooler start under mostly clear skies with areas of patchy fog. Isolated showers will be possible along our southern coastal counties. Coastal Flood Advisories have been extended and flooding will be possible along the Intracoastal, River and tributaries at high tide. Breezy northeast wind continues, 10- 15 mph inland, 15 - 20 mph along the beaches. Lows in the 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s. Mostly clear and cooler overnight.

Looking ahead: The northeasterly winds will increase this weekend as a slight chance of showers will continue along our beaches and coastal counties.

Tropics: We are watching a spot way, way, waaaaay out in the Atlantic with weak chances of development.
