Warming through the week

. (.)

Breezy northeast winds continue tonight with overnight showers possible along our sandy shores.

Although not as strong, the northeasterly wind will continue on Tuesday.

Temperatures will hover just shy of our seasonal temperatures through midweek with 90s expected Friday and through the weekend.

Slightly cooler temperatures and a steady breeze sound nice after our 2nd hottest summer, June, July and August, on record.

Tonight: Breezy and cloudy with showers possible through late tonight along our coastal counties.

Tuesday: Not as windy under partly cloudy skies. Showers will be possible under the increasing northeasterly breeze, 20-30 percent. Lows in the 60s and 70s. Afternoon highs in the 80s. The average high this time of year is 89 degrees. Wind NE 10-15 mph inland, 15-20 mph along the beaches.
