More rainy, stormy weather to finish the weekend

High rip current risk and high surf hazards increase beginning Monday as Erin passes by

Sunday Showers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s not as warm on Sunday; more overhead clouds and rainy conditions will take over the region, combining with the sea breeze convergence.

Heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning will be possible throughout the day, tapering off around sunset.

The cooler temperatures will hover around 90 degrees, with the feels like staying in the upper 95-105 degree range. Higher temperatures will be inland near US 301.

Monday brings in drier air and fewer chances of showers as Hurricane Erin begins to affect our weather. Expect windy conditions along the beaches out of the northeast. Major risks along the coast include high rip currents and high surf greater than 7 feet.
