JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Another afternoon of stormy weather is forecast, bringing additional heavy rainfall to areas that already received 3-5 inches on Saturday. Flood Watches have been issued for NE Florida counties along I-10 and all of our Southeast Georgia counties.
Concerns are that an additional 1-4 inches of rainfall is expected throughout Sunday afternoon. Thunderstorms with frequent lightning and gusty winds are also a hazard today. Temperatures will struggle to get past 90 today.
Timing of the stormy weather is from 12 through after sunset Sunday evening.
The stalled front is forecast to move out of the area on Tuesday. Meanwhile, temperatures will return to normal as cloud coverage increases. Afternoon storms on Monday will return to the summerlike sea breeze convergence pattern.
