Rain and thunderstorms will continue into the evening for North Florida and Southeast Georgia. Aside from the rain minor and flash flooding is a concern for the weekend.
Two to three inches of rain are expected in the next two days for Southeast Georgia. A quarter of an inch to one inch is expected in most places in Northeast Florida. Jacksonville and Mayport could get closer to two inches of rain.
FOR GEORGIA: Thunderstorms and heavy downpours are possible into the early morning hours of Sunday. In addition, the entire area is under a Flood Watch through Sunday afternoon and will likely have more rain accumulation and flash flooding. SE GA will the more intense storms. Two possible waterspouts have been reported to and more are possible before sunset.
FOR FLORIDA: Thunderstorms and heavy downpours will be possible through 2 AM Sunday. The peak of storms will occur in SE Georgia and NE Florida through 11 PM. At least one inch of rain is expected overall, and downpours would cause additional accumulation and possibly flash flooding.
FLOOD ADVISORIES (FLASH FLOODING)
Flood advisory in effect for Palm Valley and Sawgrass through 730 PM. About 1-2 inches of rain has fallen with another 0.5-1.0 inch expected.
Flood advisory issued for Jacksonville Beach, FL where 1-2 inches has fallen from T’storms. Another one inch of rain is expected through 915PM.
A portion of northeast Florida, including the following counties: Duval and St. Johns. Until 845 PM Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area.

TRACKING THE TROPICS
The disturbance off the coast of the Western Atlantic will not impact our area. However, if you are traveling along the east coast the low pressure is expected to form tonight or on Sunday along a frontal system off of the southeastern coast of the United States. Long term development will likely not happened due to environment conditions. Models show the system will move northeast farther in the Atlantic Ocean.
