JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The National Hurricane Center has identified an area of low pressure located just offshore of the Southeastern U.S. coast, moving westward at a slow pace.
Locally heavy rainfall is expected for portions of the northern Gulf coast this weekend.
Over the next few days, there is a small chance for slow development if the system stays far enough offshore.
By this weekend, the system is likely to move onshore, which would end any possible cyclonic development.
