JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After scattered storms rolled through our area, mostly staying west of I-95, partly cloudy skies will settle in overnight.
Friday, we’ll see the dial turning up for another hot weekend ahead. The possibility of afternoon showers and storms is in the forecast, staying mostly to the west of I-95 with southerly winds.
On Saturday, an area of high pressure will move across the state from east to west, bringing heat, humidity, and plenty of sunshine. Similar to last weekend, when we had the highest temperature of 2025 at 99 degrees on Saturday, this weekend we’ll likely see triple-digit heat in some areas.
Expect the National Weather Service in Jacksonville to issue heat advisories throughout the weekend as temperatures soar into the upper 90s. A Heat Advisory is issued when the feels-like temperatures reach 108-112 degrees for 2 or more hours.
Be sure to stay hydrated and stay in the shade or air conditioning during the peak heat hours of the day, between noon and 6 p.m.
Temperatures this weekend will be very close to record-breaking highs
