JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – This evening some lingering storms will shift westward mainly in areas west of the St. Johns River. Most of the rain will miss Duval overnight.
Thunderstorms brought heavy rain today with over 3 inches around Middleburg and over an inch around Doctors Lake.
More inland storms are possible Thursday with drier conditions at the coast.
The heat up ramps up again on Thursday through the weekend with highs expected in the upper 90s, close to 100 on Saturday and Sunday. A Heat Advisory will likely be issued over the weekend as the feels-like temperatures soar into the 108-112 degree range.
Less rain is expected this weekend.
