Mostly cloudy evening with scattered showers and storms

Tuesday overnight forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Overnight showers and storms will contribute to additional rainfall across the area after heavy downpours, gusty winds, and lightning helped lower temperatures in the late Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday won’t be as hot as the clouds will keep highs in the normal range, low 90s. Feels like temperatures will be in the 100-104 range with the humidity and moisture in the air.

Afternoon storms will begin after lunchtime and last through sunset. Unstable tropical air from the low pressure system in the Gulf will aid in shower and strong storm activity.

The 7-day forecast signals a hot and unsettled pattern, with daytime highs expected to stay in the 90s through next week. Scattered showers and thunderstorm chances persist almost every day, and humidity will keep it feeling warmer than the numbers suggest.
