Evening thunderstorms are weakening, the tropical low is in the Gulf

Isolated showers and thunderstorms continue in the broad circulation around the low in the Gulf.

These will rumble through Baker and Columbia counties in northeast Florida and Ware, Clinch and Echols counties in southeast Georgia through around 10 p.m. Before dissipating over Georgia tonight.

In the Gulf, formation chances remain at 40 percent in the 2 and 7 day window with the 8:00 p.m. update.

Heat may be a concern Friday as temperatures climb to near Heat Advisory levels.

Evening: Isolated showers and thunderstorms

Thursday: Hot and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible after 1-2 p.m., mainly south of I-10. Rain chances are 40-60 percent. Morning lows will be in the 70s. Afternoon highs will reach the 90s inland with upper 80s to low 90s along our beaches. Wind SSE 10-20 mph.

Friday - Weekend: Hot with the potential for Feels Like temperatures to reach Heat Advisory levels. Showers and thunderstorms will move inland with the Atlantic breeze. Skies will become cloudy with showers and storms developing during the afternoon and lingering through sunset.

Tropics: Invest 93, the area of low pressure, is moving across the Florida panhandle. Based on current storm motion, the low will partially emerge over the northern Gulf while the shower and thunderstorm activity remains disorganized.
