Locally heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 5 inches were recorded via Radar from around 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
This pattern continues through Friday as some areas will experience more rain than others. Rain chances will start around noon near I-75 and Highway 301, then after 1-2 p.m. closer to the river. Main hazards include heavy rain and strong winds.
Evening: Showers and thunderstorms will continue through sunset, then weaken late tonight.
Thursday: Partly cloudy skies will become mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms after 1-2 p.m. Rain chances are 40-60 percent. Morning lows will be in the 70s, with inland afternoon highs reaching the 90s and coastal areas in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Friday - Weekend: The risk of showers and thunderstorms associated with the Gulf sea breeze remains. Skies will become cloudy with showers and storms developing around noon near I-75, and around 1-2 p.m. near Highway 301/US 1, with a 50-70 percent chance.
