The National Weather Service now gives this system a 50% chance of formation over the next 7 days.

If development occurs, it would likely be weak and slow-moving, with any movement generally northward by Sunday or Monday.

Regardless of development, heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be the main concern, especially for North Central Florida.

Rain chances rise significantly starting Friday and continuing through the holiday weekend.
