Flood Advisory for multiple counties into evening hours

Sunday isolated thunderstorms are moving through parts of Northeast Florida and will expand into parts of Southeast Georgia in the evening. Closer to sunset, storms will shift to the west near the I-10/I-75 corridor.

FLOOD ADVISORIES:

Wayne County 8:15 PM

Brantley County until 10:00 PM

According to the National Weather Service, minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.

Flash flooding, heavy downpours, lightning, and gusts of wind are all possible with these storms.

According to the National Weather Service, Jacksonville recorded, San Marco has seen 1.5 to 3″ of rain in one hour (between 2 and 3 PM).

Disturbance could impact Florida:

Long term models show the possibility of a low pressure system developing by the end of the week. It would be tropical or subtropical development and could happen as it drifts west into the gulf. However, because it isn’t expected for another five to six days, development and direction if it develops can and will change.
