Showers and storms have ended inside the forecast circle. Cloudy skies continue for inland areas while the beaches are under mostly clear skies.

Partly cloudy tonight with patchy fog mainly west of Highway 301.

Today, temperatures reached the lower 90s, which is closer to our seasonal average. Temperatures will stay near summer norms, with an increasing chance of showers and storms as the sea breeze shifts to a southwest flow.

This pattern continues through the weekend and most of next week.

Evening: Quiet night under clearing skies. Patchy fog late.

Friday: Partly cloudy and warm early, then becoming cloudy and hot with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m., 40 - 70 percent. Lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Winds SW/SE 5-10 mph.

Weekend: Near seasonal temperatures with an increasing chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
