Update 9:00 p.m. A few showers and thunderstorms continue mainly south of I-10. These will continue to weaken through the night and end around 10 - 11 p.m.

The cold front, just off the east coast and across the Carolinas, has stretched across the FL/GA line and dissipate overnight.

This pattern brought drier air into southeast Georgia and will continue to filter into northeast Florida. The drier air over southeast Georgia limited the development of showers and storms.

Tonight, the drier air over southeast Georgia will move into northeast Florida as skies clear.

The onshore flow continues this weekend, pushing the Atlantic sea breeze well inland over the next several days. Good beach days this weekend, great beach days, with less crowds, this week.

Evening: Showers, thunderstorms mainly south I-10.

Saturday: The first weekend of summer and it’s going to be hot. The onshore wind will sail all the way across the State, limiting showers and thunderstorms to around, 20-30 percent. Lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Wind SE 5 - 10 mph.

Sunday: The onshore wind and dry pattern continues as highs hover just above our seasonal average of 90 degrees.

We may have to water container plants, yards and gardens next week as the southeasterly flow continues.

Tropics: No tropical development is expected over the next 7 days.
